Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) became 100% owner of four mobile substations

EU Delegation in Serbia and Gopa-intec Germany, as a Supervising Engineer, are pleased to inform that the first part of the project "Electrical equipment for the reaction in emergency situations in the Republic of Serbia" has been finished.

Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) has received one mobile substation 110/35kV, 20MVA manufactured by ABB Serbia and three mobile substations 35/10kV, 8MVA manufactured by consortium GAT Novi Sad and Inesing Spa Italy, thanks to EU's donation. The defect liability period has been finished and the mobile substations are in service as a support system for EPS power grid for emergency situations..

Four mobile substation will be the great assistance to EPS to maintain the distribution system stable and to keep electricity supply reliable in emergency situations. This means much less time without electricity for the Serbian citizens in emergency situations. Citizens can now feel safer and more stable when it comes to electricity supply.

The total value of donation for the mobile substations is EUR 3.182.280 and the total value of the complete project is about EUR 9 milion.

Once again, EU assistance helps Serbia to be a safer and better place for living.
